About Our Studio
We are a small-but-mighty team of game dev veterans from some of your favorite indie and AAA hits. Now we’re focused on building a brand-new, sustainable studio where we can use our experience to do the best work of our careers.
We are recently founded and looking for collaborators who will have an outsized impact on the game we are building, as well as the studio itself.
About Our Project
We are building a first person, single-player, science-fiction adventure in Unreal Engine 5. It’s an original IP, driven by exploration and rich narrative. Our game is narrative-driven and rich with opportunities for visual world-building through unusual environments, bizarre biologies, and environmental effects.
Associate Producer Wanted!
Our team is looking for an associate producer (or product manager) to join us. Your job is to support your teammates - by understanding their goals and assisting with prioritization, facilitation, and providing general support.
This role will always be on the lookout for the best ways to support a growing team and an evolving project. As our team grows and our project evolves, this role will also adapt, offering you a chance to learn and grow your own skills alongside the team and studio itself.
Responsibilities
Work with the Senior Producer to ensure day-to-day development is in line with our long-term plan
Lead regular status updates, planning/priority discussions, and weekly playtests
Capture and document key decisions and information
Regularly checking in with teammates & proactively evaluating how best to support them
Help ensure project task-tracking and dashboards are kept up to date
Requirements
Familiar with modern game development terminology and production methods
Previous experience managing and facilitating multi-disciplinary projects
Highly organized with excellent follow-through
Clear and confident communicator; you organize and present information very well, in both spoken and written contexts.
(eg: meetings, documentation, task databases, slack communications, etc)
Compassionate and Proactive: you actively seek opportunities to create excitement, empower teammates, and support morale
Work in real-time alongside a remote team across North American time zones.
(Most of our meetings occur between noon-4pm Eastern time)
Nice-to-have Skills and Experience
Prior experience with project management and task management software
eg: Notion (preferred), Jira, TestTracker, Fogbugz, etc
Experience with small, multi-disciplinary teams of 15+ individuals, with potential to grow
Proven experience shipping software or video game products
Hands-on experience with game development as a programmer, artist, and/or designer
Familiarity with programs such as SR&ED, OIDMTC, Ontario Creates
Work Culture + Expectations
We are a fully remote studio, with travel opportunities for events and/or team summits. Travel is optional for most roles.
We are distributed across North American time zones. Expect flexible work hours, prioritizing asynchronous communication, with meetings during shared core hours.
Anyone able to legally work in the USA or Canada may be considered. As an Ontario-based organization, those working from within Ontario are especially encouraged to apply.
Our language of communication is English. Fluency in written and spoken English will be important for you to fully participate in workplace discussions.
